Lacierda: I love Kim Henares!
MANILA, Philippines - Presidential spokesman Edwin Lacierda showed his admiration for Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Commissioner Kim Henares, who took the witness stand anew on Thursday in the impeachment trial of Supreme Court Chief Justice Renato Corona.
"I love Kim Henares!" Lacierda said on social media site Twitter.
"Cross examination of Kim Henares was a dud! Go Kim!" he added.
Henares, who was cross-examined by defense lead counsel Serafin Cuevas, testified about the tax records of the Chief Justice, his wife Cristina, and their daughters Carla and Charina.
BIR records of Chief Justice Renato Corona's income do not match his Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net worth (SALN), prosecutors said.
His wife also bought their P11-million La Vista property in 2003 without any clear source of income, according to Henares.
She said the Coronas' daughter Carla is facing a tax probe for buying an P18-million property from her parents in 2010 despite having only P8,000 in taxable income in 2009.
Documents also showed that Charina bought a property on McKinley Hill Subdivision in Taguig.
However, she does not have records of income tax returns except for the one-time payment of the Taguig property, Henares said.
Henares' revelations, which were made during the impeachment trial, drew concern from defense lawyers and Sen. Joker Arroyo, who said he is he's bothered by the BIR's ongoing probe on the Coronas.
The chief justice's lawyers said one of his daughters may sue the BIR for revealing her tax record.
'I only do my job'
Henares, in an interview with ANC, shrugged off concerns that the bureau is "overzealous" about presenting Corona's tax records in the impeachment trial.
"Professional lang ho ako, ginagawa ko lang trabaho ko. Hinihingi lang naman nila magpresent ako ng document," she said.
"Napipilitan lang naman ako sumagot kasi tinatanong ako ng senator-judges," Henares added.
"Nagiging controversial lang mga sagot dahil sa additional questions(ng senator-judges). Defense pa nga nanghihingi opinion ko," she said.
"I do not hold punches; I only do my job. I'm very professional. Even if you're my worst enemy, I will just do my job," said Henares.

Poor Impeachment Proceedings...manipulated.

She was just giving lectures and insights to everyone in the Court because the PROSECUTION PANEL did not adhere the very essence of the impeachment trial and also the RULE OF LAW.
Defense panel on the other hand is following based on the impeachment proceedings by abiding the ruling of the senator-judges and also the presiding officers' directives (to avoid misleading/argumentative).
Prosecution panel however violates the impeachment proceedings (since the start of the hearing) by not preparing the things that should have been prepared before the trial starts. What a shame.
Remember, this impeachment trial is based on the presumptions of alleged ill-gotten Wealth's, Betrayal of Public trust and corrupt-practices. HE IS NOT YET CONVICTED ABOUT THESE SO THEREFORE AGAIN RULE OF LAW HERE MUST BE APPLIED.
Impeachment applies only to highest officeholders including the President and Justices. It is not designed to root out crime -- for that, again, is the responsibility of the police and the courts -- but to root out severe abuses of power that pertain to those offices. Where there reports of Chief Justice Corona about any abuse of POWER? NO! because he can't simply control SC and its affiliates and most of all, we know that there are several justices on his league before he can even make a step.
So why Meriam-Defensor Santiago was acting strange and so upset after her first appearance in the trial? BECAUSE SHE ALREADY KNEW THAT THE PROSECUTORS WILL AGAIN CORRUPT THE MINDS OF THE IGNORANT PEOPLE (no offense to the uneducated and low IQ's). See what Tupas did before the Trial? They didn't apply the RULE OF LAW. They clearly violated the rights of Chief Justice Corona.
THAT MADE EVERY SENATOR-JUDGES SPECIALLY THE PRESIDING OFFICER ANGRY BECAUSE TUPAS WAS TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THE IGNORANCE OF THE PEOPLE USING THE MEDIA. TUPAS WAS CLEARLY USING THE RULE OF POLITICS HERE, NOT THE RULE OF LAW.
So who's abusing here? PRES. ABNOYS PROSECUTION TEAM!!! My God, they can't even understand how the filing of ITR is done. They even have no idea about BIR Alphalist. So if you are a private or a government employee, are you the one filing your ITR? LOL!!! They can't even understand the process of filing an ITR between employed and self-employed.

When income tax returns are duly signed and notarized, it never lies! BIR Commissioner Kim Henares just did her duty by revealing the documents, anyone who's against it, is a crook who'll say and do anything to squeeze out of this cordon!

anong fabricated lies ang pinagsasabi mo ? Ang documents na napresenta ni Kim ay hindi nagsisinungaling at hindi madodoctor... ang galing mong mag inglis BOBO ka naman pala!! .... o baka naman sanay ka lang magdoctor sa mga documents mo kaya lahat para sa iyo ay pedeng doctorin..Kung nagbabayad ka ng tax, dapat alam mo iyan na nakalagay mismo sa ITR mo kung ano ang kita mo..maliban na alng kung meron kang mga kalokohan tulad ng mga coronas na iyan!
