BPO cost gap between PH, India widens
MANILA, Philippines - The cost gap between the Philippines and India has widened because of the stronger peso and the weaker rupee, according to an official of the Business Processing Association of the Philippines (BPAP).
Benedict Hernandez, BPAP president, said non-contact center BPOs are expected to grow more than the call center industry.
The BPO industry is expected to bring in $25 billion in revenues a year by 2016, and employ 1.3 million Filipinos.
