MANILA, Philippines – Filipino boxing champion Manny Pacquiao is in talks for a 4th fight against Juan Manuel Marquez.

Pacquiao told ABS-CBN correspondent Jay Dayupay he will meet Top Rank’s Bob Arum to discuss the revenue split with Marquez.

“Pag-usapan pa namin ni Bob kung anong maganda, 'yung hindi naman tayo agrabyado (Bob and I will decide on what’s best, to make sure that we’re not at the losing end),” he said, when asked about the rematch with his Mexican nemesis.

Arum is scheduled to fly to the Philippines to discuss Pacquiao’s options.

Marquez is just 1 of the 4 possible opponents for Pacquiao.

Other boxers on the short list are Timothy Bradley, Lamont Peterson, and Miguel Cotto.

Pacquiao urged boxing aficionados not to muddle the negotiations with Marquez’s camp.

“'Wag na lang pangunahan 'yung mga negosasyon kasi baka magulo pa (Let us not pre-empt the negotiations because the talks might get disrupted),” he said.

The Filipino champion fought Marquez for the 3rd time last November 12 in Las Vegas.

Pacquiao, who was expected to easily defeat the Mexican fighter, escaped with a majority decision to retain his WBO welterweight title.

Their first 2 fights were also controversial.

In 2004, Marquez fought to a controversial draw despite suffering 3 first-round knockdowns to Pacquiao.

The Mexican suffered another knockdown and lost via split-decision to the Filipino during a closely fought rematch in 2008.

Many boxing analysts saw the verdict as highly controversial, prompting Marquez's camp to demand a whopping $25 million for a 4th fight against Pacquiao.
