Servania earns ring maturity in past fights
MANILA, Philippines – Unbeaten super bantamweight Genesis Servania said his past fights against veteran boxers helped him to become more patient inside the ring.
His past bouts, particularly against Gerson Guerrero in September 2011 and Genaro Garcia last June, have taught him the value of patience while executing his battle plan.
"What I've learned during those fights against two veterans is to be more focused and more patient while executing," said Servania in Ring TV. "You cannot rush things."
Servania earned a unanimous decision over Guerrero, while his 12th-round technical knockout over Garcia showed his real promise as a boxer.
This Saturday, Servania will face Jorge Pazos in the fight for the vacant World Boxing Organization Asia Pacific super bantamweight title.
The bout will be among the feature fights of Pinoy Pride XV.
